Review ~A few June catalog items

A few of the new items online today that I think are beautiful

Clustered Petals Dress Pleated straps give way to a bodice blooming with fresh rosettes, as an airy skirt ripples and flows below. By Sine. This dress I absolutely fell in love with at first glance...I'm a sucker for roses, and I think this dress is simple yet a statement piece....It's empire waist will be flattering on me. I adore this frock. Look on the website to see the gorgeous detail...

Zigzag Dress Panels of twill have been carefully pieced together to create the playful angles on this classic strapless beauty.

Mixed Media Dress Fern leaves sprout from the silky skirt of one.september's frock, adding elegant contrast to the soft jersey bodice. This dress is so cute, I think it would be flattering and comfy...but I'll wait till I see it in store.

Cinched Voile Tunic Light and airy plaid from Edme & Esyllte, ruffled at the neckline and cinched with an elasticized waist. I love this color, versus the other plaid option, I think it would look great with a camel leather waist-belt and skinny jeans.

Floral Cocoon Cardi A blooming tulip garden brightens a long expanse of slubby sweaterknit. By Guinevere.A Casual and elegant cover-up, I love flowers!

Alabaster Crackle Bag With scalloped pockets and endless pleats, this pretty pouch is crafted of soft, worn leather.

Posy Duet Headband Add some life to your locks with this duo of frilly blooms. I tried this on in-store and it is very cute, and I'm not really into hair accessories...but I may splurge on this one.

Review: New Idyll Dress

Last week I walked into the San Diego Fashion Valley Anthropologie and was struck by this dress. The New Idyll Dress by Floreat (One of my Favorite brands in the store) Although I'm not a big brown fan, I had to try it on...

It's Embroidered and gauze-topped organdy forms a modern yet romantic silhouette.

The feel of the fabric and the way it hangs on the figure is amazing...It has so much detail.

In the fitting room, I walked out to the three way mirror to get a better look. I had on Ivory pumps that went perfect with the dress, and the fitting room clerk went bananas and said I had to have it..I knew I did too.
If you see this dress in store try it on, you wont be disappointed. It will flatter every figure with it's structured A-line shape.

Not so creepy crawlies

On the new homepage anthro features a section of Bug accessories, here's a few of my favorites...

Owl's Evening Ring This pretty bird swapped her day-to-day feathers for a much more shimmery set.

Bejeweled Bee Ring We're all abuzz over this sparkly specimen - can you blame us?

Learning-To-Fly Pendant A wobbly-legged chick made of vintage metal and resin scraps eagerly strives to find its wings. This specimen goes for $358, but I adore it as a statement piece with tees or casual dresses..i'll wait for it to go on sale but i think it's a masterpeice ( for fun )

Hippopotamus Locket With a twinkle in his eyes, this filigree fellow opens wide to hold your tiniest treasures.

Whats your favorite?

Dresses, loungwear, and home. This week what I bought in-store review. Some hot some not.

Yesterday I was bored and a we bit manic & decided to go to an Anthropologie store i'd never ventured to. (I drive all over southern california to check out differen't anthro stores) I map-quested La Jolla location and off I's what i found-

Spun Sugar Dress As light as air and as sweet as candy, Floreat's silken confection features a pintuck-strewn bodice and mocha icing trim. I like this dress very much on, its flattering to me...accentuates my top and flows out on the bottom to hide my fanny. It's very pretty but simple. I may take it back only because it would enable me to buy somthing more unique, plus im not used to wearing white dresses...

Brightness & Shadow Dress I was excited when I saw this dress hanging there in the store, they had just gotten it in that morning...I had been googly eyeing it online...It fit very cute much that I actually bought it. When i got home and tried it on for the second time, The zipper tore...So not worth the $148 now I have to return damaged merch..ugh.

Snoozing Twenties Chemise A flapper-style voile, lace and eyelet frock. This is a very cute little dress. i bought it to go over bathing suits or to sleep in. It's a bit see-through, but perfect cover-up for summer.

Sunset Park Pants These pants are spectacular and I feel classy in my lounge clothes now. I bought dark grey but now I want the ivory and the light blue hues. Linen-cotton blend with picot trim lets you feel luxurious. These are great for lounging around the house, going to the store, or the beach...they are so cute on.

Aquiesse Candle: Napa Valley This candle is a must buy!! No it's not very pretty, no it doesen't last the longest but omg does it smell like heaven! I wish they made this scent in perfume. It fills the entire room with its amazing fresh aroma...I want more for all over the house. If you want your house to smell as great as an anthro store choose this.

Rectangular Sundew Bathmat High-pile peach, pink and yellow mums lend spring-fresh footing to bathroom tile. Very pretty, lush, and beautiful...Im excited to step out of the shower now.

My shopping trip was a good one-minus the broken dress drama...I got a great variety. There's lots of great things in-store right now~(Im almost excited I have to take back a dress, lets me try on more)

Just got new clothes in the mail

Floating Lotus Dress Graceful buds and bands of violet float atop Lil's chiffon beauty. I adore this dress But unfortunatley have to take it back. It's a little bit flimsy and the bust is too small on me. I don't feel comfotable in it. Im sad about this one.

Parfait Perfect Top Faded patterns, mirrored discs and pleated silk layer beautifully on Rina Dhaka's surplice. Another item I was so excited about, I am going to keep it but it was kind of big even in the size 2 i ordered. It gives me an apple shape. But I love it anyway...

Paige Premium Denim Rebel Skyline Ankle Peg Curve-conscious and just a bit cropped, Paige's well-weathered pair highlights high heels beautifully. I bought these to go with the Parfait Perfect Top..These jeans are a must have!! They fit wonderfully and are very flattering. The Denim is sturdy and fits like a glove. They are skinny jeans that are a 28" length and fall right at the ankles...which I particulary love..I hate other skinny jeans that are so long they crinkle at the bottom of my leg. The slightly weathered appearence gives an edge.

PomPom Pouch Vintage fabrics are edged with cheery trim. Use as a clutch, or pop it into a bigger purse as a holder for the items you like to keep at the ready. Another item I bought to go with the Parfait Perfect Top. Its cute...Im going to use it as a clutch or throw it in my purse as a make-up bag.

Azteca Belt Cheery neutral jute is richly woven from end to end and nipped with a wooden buckle. This belt I bought to pair with the party Mini and a white blouse, it goes very well.

Party Mini San & Soni's structured silk-cotton is pleated at the waistband and bubbled at the hem, creating a fun and frolicsome new skirt shape. This skirt I adore and is so cute on and very fashion forward. It needed a tucked in blouse and a belt to come together. I wore it out and got lots of compliments.

New Online items review for this week

Lots of New items online this week, Im just going to review a few...

First Days Dress by Leifsdottir, tiered silk frock beckons spring with full-petaled poppies, spindly grasses and broad leaves. I wouldn't pay the $398 that this dress goes for.

Brightness & Shadow Dress Satin piping defines areas of light and dark on Burlapp's buttoned waist frock. I think it's a lovely frock...and a decent price at $168

Orchard Labyrinth Dress Twisty-turny trails weave their way through Vera's berry-strewn maze; pintuck pleats keep the waistband on a point-to-point path. I don't wear halter's so this dress doesen't do it for me personally

Quince Petals Dress Eyelet flowers burst forth beneath a smocked racerback bodice. By Fei. I tried this one on in store and it was cute, but it puckers in the bust a bit, another girl in the dressing room had the same problem..not worth the $148 in my book.

Mykonos Dress Windmills of Aegean blue embroidery whirl around Tibi's silky, open-back dress. I really love this dress I think it's amazing in every way. I know that Tibi has great qaulity fabric and is worth the money...I'll still wait for this $358 dress to go on sale.

Pastel Prism Blouse A rainbow garden of fancy, Odille's ruffled shell boasts a subdued spectrum of petaled delights

Field Winds Tunic Shadow-striped silk-cotton voile, trimmed with wispy lace scallops. By Featherbone. I want this!

Katya Top Yarn-stitched wildflowers and pretty pintucks pop up with a folkloric flourish on this silky, flowy tunic from Anna Sui for Anthropologie. I love this blouse!

Upon Sunset Cover-Up The end of a beach day calls for a wispy cover-up, like this gauzy cotton hoodie from Sparrow.

Border Phlox Vest $98 Delicate pointelle sweaterknit, stitched with crewelwork petals. I think this is beautiful...I can't wait to see it in store and try it on. Although I can't pin point what to pair it with.

Mythical Phoenix Tank Like the outspread wings of a shimmering firebird, metallic beads fan out across a sweeping yoke, while a slate landscape lies cool below. By Deletta. Deletta has been coming out with some pretty blouses lately.

Hieroglyph Skirt Cryptic panels of dashes and dots flank a swirling symbol on Edme & Esyllte's crinkly gauze skirt

Coral Shadows Skirt Glimpse a submerged reef sunset, depicted atop pleated poplin. Crafted in collaboration with beloved scarf designer, Vera

Of-The-Essence Skirt A Leifsdottir offering that embodies pared-down chic with nothing but textured silk-linen and subtly slouchy styling

Joe's Gemma Ex-Lover Bermudas Nothing says summer like a pair of well-worn cut-offs; this pair from Joe's holds on to its dark wash, lending a lovely bit of contrast to sun-bleached tops
Manicured Lawn Shorts Cut from velvety summer-weight twill, these bermudas beg to be worn on sun-drenched days while playing badminton on a clipped stretch of fragrant grass. From Paperboy by G1

Rock Garden Tote Slices of stone pick a pathway through a patch of coiled and florid raffia

Macrame Craft Tote Shaggy knotwork is handcrafted into a singularly cool carryall.

Sharp Spectrum Clutch Vivid colors angle and slant across this tidy raffia pouch, topped with a polished wood latch

Hyperbole Platforms No, we're not exaggerating. Atop a taller-than-tall heel, Frye weaves a leather-and-raffia tale that pairs perfectly with shortened hems

Sunflower Sunhat Lots of new hats this week, but this is my favorite

New Outlook Belt Try a wide band of gleaming beads and polished wood buckles to break out of your leather belt rut. I bought this and I am in love with it. It goes with so many things

Havasu Belt Burlap, painted a pretty turquoise hue, glints with a metallic wash and an oversized buckle. This new belt is on my must have list. But I must have it when it goes on sale...$98

Hope you enjoyed!
